Tall Vampire Ladies is a game about being tall vampire ladies dealing with an intruder in your castle.

It's one page, with clean, readable, and well-arranged layout.

Engine-wise, this is a Lasers & Feelings hack, and it leans way in on flavor. The writing is great, it hits little comedic beats with ease, and there's options to take your game a little bit outside of the Resident Evil Village formula, which helps it to breathe a little bit more.

Gameplay is challenge-based, with the goal being to find and neutralize the intruder in your castle. Depending on how your rolls go, the intruder can be pretty scrappy and can hurt you back, and there isn't really an implied romance here. Just predation.

That said, there *is* an optional endgame state that flips the script pretty heavily, and it's a cool mechanical flourish as well, so I want to talk about it for a minute.

Characters take Danger when they fail rolls, and if enough of it builds up their character is taken out. When this happens, they can either sit out and watch, become a co-GM, or join the side of the intruder.

This is phenomenal. Straight up one of the best death mechanics I've seen.

In Tall Vampire Ladies, death means a *ton* of player agency, and you can even have a game where every PC flips to the intruder's side when they reach maximum Danger. It's not the ending that the game seems to intend, but you can have the game resolve happily for every character simply through failing your rolls.

Overall, I think this is a standout among Lasers & Feelings hacks, and it's plenty solid on its own. It benefits a little from the context of the Resident Evil Village meme, but there's a lot more to it than that, and I think it'll be just as fun for groups who have never heard of the Tall Lady. Definitely check it out if you can.
